Overview: Dilhana Badurdeen MBBS, MD presents on ""Endo Bariatric Therapies for Weight Loss"" on behalf of SGNA.
This presentation includes discussion of currently approved endoscopic bariatric therapies – Intra-gastric balloon, Sleeve gastroplasty, Aspiration therapy and intra-gastric botox. Discussion will also include indications, contraindications, procedure, complications, side effects, before and after care.
At the conclusion of this presentation, the participants will be able to:
1. List the indications, contraindications, complications and side effects of the currently approved endoscopic bariatric therapy
2. Describe each of the procedures - Intra-gastric balloon, Sleeve gastroplasty, Aspiration therapy and intra-gastric botox
3. Describe the before and aftercare
4. Brief discussion of emerging endoscopic bariatric therapies – that are not yet approved
