Improving Colorectal Cancer Screening Rates Webinar

Richard C. Wender, MD, Chief Cancer Control Officer of the American Cancer Society is presenting "Improving Colorectal Cancer Screening Rates" on behalf of SGNA.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States, when men and women are combined, yet it can be prevented through regular screening. In this session, participants will learn about colorectal cancer screening guidelines, discover how to implement evidence-based screening methods, and learn how to improve screening rates.

 At the conclusion of this presentation, the participants will be able to:
1. Effectively screen their patient population for colorectal cancer, following appropriate guidelines
2. Implement evidence-based interventions that ensure high quality screening
3. Use quality improvement methodology to measure progress and improve screening rates

The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, Inc., is accredited as a Provider of Continuing Nursing Education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Upon successful completion, participants will receive 1.0 contact hour. 


Upon successful completion, participants will receive 1.0 GI specific contact hour within category 1 through ABCGN as well as CBSPD and IAHCSMM.
